Play’n GO is now set up to make a big effect in Canada. The company is already present in more than 30 countries around the world. Saam Hafezi, Head of Region North America, says that the company will do well in this new area if they have a plan and work together.
“It was a natural step for us to join an organization whose goals are the same as ours: to make the industry safer and more sustainable,” Hafezi said. It makes us very happy that the CGA accepted our application. As a big Canadian seller, being able to connect with a network of people who know a lot about the local business world will only make our job as a B2B partner stronger.
“Even though Play’n GO isn’t a Canadian company, it’s our duty to pay attention to the experts in the association.” We’re going to share what we learn with our own teams, which will make our already great games even better.
Our main goal is to make a good difference in the Canadian iGaming market, just like we do in every other market we work in. We think that becoming a member of the CGA is a big step in that direction.
Hafezi went on, “The opportunities are huge.” “It is very helpful to be able to connect with people who really know how the Canadian iGaming scene works and, more importantly, how it changes over time.” Alberta is almost ready to let private controlled players start doing business there, so we need to learn more about the area directly so we can be ready to launch our goods right away. We can’t wait to learn from other CGA members.
“We’re also excited to share our almost 20 years of experience in the field with the rest of the CGA.” We may be in competition with some of the other players, but we all want the Canadian iGaming market to be fair and safe.
Play’n GO is expanding into Canada just a few weeks after starting up in Quebec through a deal with Loto-Quebec. “Play’n GO wants to be present in all regulated markets around the world,” Hafezi said. “We’re happy with how the industry has grown in Ontario since April 2022, and we can’t wait to see our partnership with Loto-Quebec grow.” So far, they’ve been great to work with.
“Because there are so many growth opportunities, Canada is an important part of our North American strategy, which also includes the US.” We now have licenses in seven North American states and provinces: Quebec, Ontario, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Connecticut. When Alberta opens up, we hope to grow even more.
“Like U.S. states, we think that each Canadian province is important in its own way.” We have a North American team based in the U.S., but we respect the Canadian market and want to be at the head of its changes. We’ve taken the time to form agreements and relationships because we think that people in Canada will like our goods, which focus on fun and ethical games. We’re sure we can repeat our success around the world in the “Great White North.”
“A few weeks ago, we went to the Canadian Gaming Show in Toronto and heard people talk about the newest changes in the Canadian iGaming industry,” Hafezi said. “The words “sustainability” and “duty” were used over and over again, which are perfect for Play’n GO’s values.”
“We want to make money, but we don’t put short-term gains ahead of long-term sustainability.” Luckily, the CGA agrees with this point of view.
“Play’n GO is proud to offer slots and live games without direct bonus buys, which shows our dedication to being environmentally friendly and responsible.” We hope that this method will inspire other businesses, because sustainability needs to be a goal for the whole industry. We will keep encouraging owners, providers, and the industry as a whole to have this talk.
“I think Play’n GO will continue to benefit from and make a difference through our partnership with the CGA for many years to come,” Hafezi said. “We’re still in the early stages of getting members, so we’re making plans.” The President and CEO of the CGA, Paul Burns, and I will talk about how Play’n GO can be an involved and useful part of the group.
“It looks like the future will be great, and this partnership is a very important part of our plan.” It’s great to see the good results of a plan that was carried out well!”
